About Ovelo Mobility
Ovelo Mobility operates a network of electric bikes and scooters across dense urban neighborhoods, currently running fleets in 14 cities including a flagship deployment across all five boroughs of New York. Our vehicles are swapped and charged through a network of curbside docking hubs, and riders complete more than 2 million trips a month on the Ovelo app. Founded in 2019 by two former transit planners, Ovelo has focused on building relationships directly with city transportation departments rather than launching without permits, which has kept us operating in cities where competitors have been shut down. Most riders use Ovelo for trips under two miles, replacing car and rideshare trips during commute hours, and our operations team includes fleet technicians who service vehicles nightly across our depot network.
