About Pressbound
Pressbound builds layout and workflow software for independent publishers, university presses, and magazine teams moving from desktop design tools to collaborative, browser-based publishing. Our editor supports InDesign file import and today handles production for roughly 3,400 titles a year across our customer base, including two university presses and several long-running independent magazines. We're a fully remote team of 28 people, several of whom came from publishing houses themselves before joining as engineers or product designers. Sales are handled by a small team who understand editorial workflows firsthand rather than a traditional enterprise sales org. We ship on a monthly cadence and hold a company-wide retreat once a year, usually somewhere with a good independent bookstore nearby.
