About Waypost Maps
Waypost Maps builds geospatial analytics software used by utility companies, city planning departments, and logistics operators to visualize infrastructure, permitting, and asset data on a live map. Our core product, Waypost Atlas, ingests GIS data from a dozen common formats and currently powers mapping operations for more than 90 municipal and utility clients, including the public works departments of three West Coast cities. The company was founded by former satellite imagery analysts who saw utilities still tracking underground pipe locations on paper maps. Our buyers are typically GIS managers and public works directors, and our sales cycles run long, often six to nine months, because customers are procuring critical infrastructure software rather than a nice-to-have tool. Our engineering team is based in Seattle, with field staff who travel to client sites for onboarding.
