We need someone to own our design system end to end: the Figma libraries, the component documentation, and the working relationship with engineers who implement it in code. You'll set standards that keep dozens of screens consistent without slowing teams down, and you'll need to be equally comfortable in a component inspector and in a cross-functional planning meeting where three teams disagree about button radius.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the Figma component library and design tokens
- Partner with engineers to keep code components in sync with design specs
- Document usage guidelines and accessibility standards for each component
- Run office hours and reviews to support designers adopting the system
- Audit product surfaces for inconsistency and drive remediation plans
- Prioritize the design system roadmap based on team needs and gaps
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in product design with direct design systems experience
- Deep Figma expertise including variables, components, and tokens
- Working knowledge of how design tokens map to code (CSS/React)
- Experience driving adoption of shared standards across teams
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable balancing flexibility with consistency in system design
Nice to have
- Front-end coding experience (HTML/CSS/React)
- Experience with tools like Storybook for component documentation
- Background scaling a design system across multiple product lines
