We're looking for a product designer who can go from a rough problem statement to a polished, shippable design without a lot of hand-holding. You'll work in Figma alongside PMs and engineers, run quick usability checks, and care as much about the empty states and edge cases as the happy path. Portfolio should show real shipped work, not just concept pieces.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end product flows in Figma, from wireframes to high-fidelity UI
- Partner with PM and engineering to scope features and define requirements
- Run lightweight usability tests to validate design decisions before build
- Maintain consistency with the existing design system components
- Design for edge cases, empty states, and error handling, not just happy paths
- Present design rationale clearly in critiques and stakeholder reviews
What we're looking for
- 4+ years designing digital products end to end
- Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped product work
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma including auto-layout and components
- Experience collaborating directly with engineers during implementation
- Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to stakeholders
- Solid grasp of interaction design and visual hierarchy fundamentals
Nice to have
- Experience conducting your own user research
- Familiarity with front-end constraints (HTML/CSS basics)
- Background designing for both web and mobile platforms
