We need a technical program manager to keep our most complex, cross-team engineering initiatives on track. You won't own the roadmap, but you will own the plan: dependencies, risks, and the uncomfortable conversations about slipping timelines. Strong technical fluency is required since you'll be in the weeds with engineers, not just tracking tickets from a distance, and you'll need to know enough to ask the right pointed question in a design review.
What you'll do
- Drive planning and execution for complex, multi-team engineering programs
- Identify cross-team dependencies and risks before they become blockers
- Facilitate technical planning sessions and keep documentation current
- Track program health and report status clearly to leadership
- Partner with engineering leads to sequence work across quarters
- Run retrospectives and drive process improvements after each program
What we're looking for
- 5+ years as a technical program manager or similar role
- Strong technical background sufficient to engage deeply with engineers
- Experience managing dependencies across multiple engineering teams
- Excellent organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity
- Clear, concise communication for status updates and escalations
- Track record of delivering complex programs on realistic timelines
Nice to have
- Prior software engineering experience
- PMP certification or equivalent program management training
- Experience with infrastructure or platform migration programs
