We are looking for a controller to own the accounting function and make sure our books close accurately and on time, every time. You'll manage the close process, maintain internal controls, and be the point person for auditors when that time of year rolls around. A steady, process-minded leader who doesn't cut corners, even when everyone else in the building would very much like the close to go faster.
What you'll do
- Own the monthly and annual close process across all entities
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
- Manage the general ledger, accruals, and reconciliations in NetSuite
- Lead the annual audit process and serve as primary auditor contact
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in accounting with prior controller or assistant controller experience
- CPA required or actively in progress
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system
- Track record of managing external audits successfully
- Strong leadership skills managing an accounting team
Nice to have
- Experience in a venture-backed or high-growth company
- Background with multi-entity or international consolidations
- Experience implementing new accounting systems or processes
